CARPENTER course is a small scale craftsman course. This course includes topics like cutting, shaping, and installation of building materials during the construction of buildings, ships, timber bridges, concrete formwork and the like. The trade is career orienting in nature as also it looks like.

The course length is ONE Year which divided into 2 semesters and each semester’s time duration is 6 months.

Carpenter Course is very popular because there are many Jobs available after it. Self-employment also possible as it opens many opportunities in various fields.

ELIGIBILITY

Any student who passed in the 8th class examination from a recognized school board is eligible for this course.

CARPENTER SKILLS

-Reading skills such as read project specifications to understand what is required for a project.

-Numeracy skills like estimating how long it will take to complete a job; calculate the number of materials needed for a job, such as the volume of concrete required for footings.

-Good wiring skills as they have to record information on work activities such as problems encountered and resolved and hours of work; write purchase orders for materials and write safety and accident reports.

-Able to work with others; lead construction teams while working with other tradespersons, forepersons, suppliers, and engineers.
